Contracted Services

The NWREL Technology Center can assist schools and districts with several types of direct assistance, defined in a contract for services. The type, level of depth and schedule are determined by the district, and cost of the assistance is specified by NETC according to the type of personnel, time and materials required.

Services which may be specified in a contract include needs assessment, research, staff development, and plan development. For example, a contract might include working with a district committee to establish the planning process, conducting interviews with school staff to determine needs and analysing the results, assisting the committee with the development of vision and goal statements, critiquing components or versions of the plan, and developing an evaluation plan.

A contract could focus on a specific technology such as a communications network or videoconferencing, or on technology in a curriculum area such as language arts, or on an age level such as early childhood.
