Reading and writing are high priorities in the early grades. Technology can support literacy development, motivate, and enrich the learning process.

Students learn computer skills in context as they work on reading and writing projects. These are examples of reports and poems that second graders wrote. They typed their work, created pictures, and formatted the the pages. The computer skills were introduced along with the reading and writing curriculum. Students printed the colorful documents which hang on the walls for classmates and adults to read and enjoy.
