Research
Research in the use of two-way, interactive video in instruction is highly limited, and that done in a K-12 setting even less available. Three points characterize the status:
- Research done using one-way video is frequently applicable, because it applies to instructional design and practice, much of which is independent of medium.
- Most of the research and scholarly writing is based on a higher education context. It is course oriented, so much of it can be applied to secondary course delivery with appropriate modification.
- Current writing and research typically involves distance education supported by several technologies, including Internet e-mail and World Wide Web, in addition to video components.
