Explore Twin Falls, Idaho
The city of Twin Falls is located in the heart of the Magic Valley by the Snake River Canyon in south central Idaho. Though Twin boasts a population of 33,000, the valley includes many small towns with fewer that 300.

Twin Falls attracts people who want a small-town atmosphere with big city conveniences. The city is still small enough to host an old fashioned county fair complete with rodeos, pie-baking contests, 4-H projects, and concerts, but is within two hours of the well-known Craters of the Moon National Monument and three ski resorts including well known Sun Valley.

Twin Falls is home to the College of Southern Idaho. The campus houses The Herrett Center for the Arts and Sciences as well as the Faulkner Planetarium.

The historically agricultural economy has become a central location for the retail industry and growth in the Magic Valley is rapidly increasing due to the wide variety of outdoor recreation available. Film producers and daredevils have found it attractive - Bruce Willis was filmed in the movie, "Breakfast of Champions" in Twin Falls and the city recently commemorated the 25th anniversary of Evel Knievel's famous unsuccessful jump across the Snake River Canyon.

A popular tourist spot for people traveling through southern Idaho is a spectacular waterfall, Shoshone Falls, proudly known as "The "Niagara of the West". Here the waters of the Snake River drop 212 feet into a gorge carved into the basalt rock as a result of the catastrophic Bonneville Flood about 15,000 years ago.
