We began after school in the lab so we had each group's presentation
already downloaded on the computers ready to go with their paperwork
right beside the computer. We organized all the groups' materials
in the room. Then we went to one group and I looked at the engineer's
work, Meile looked the at the architect's and Jill looked at the
researcher's work.
We graded silently and individually at first. Then we talked
among ourselves to see if the information from each individual
project related to the other group member's project. Then we all
watched the taped presentation and graded it together looking
to see if the public relations person used the other group members'
information accurately.
We could do this fairly easily because we had just looked
at their work so it was fresh in our minds. Then we moved to the
next group and repeated this process. Now this process took eight
hours to do but it was necessary to analyze their work. It might
not take as long next year as we know more how we want to do it
and how to redesign the rubrics.
