Teach note-taking from traditional references. Introduce Note-Taking Sheet.



Teach writing paragraphs from notes.

Begin Population and Living research.

Continue Population and Living research. Complete note-taking sheet.

Six Travel Agencies established based on state reports; choose name and slogan.

Introduce Travel USA Web site:
Practice searching; find a list of facts from the linked sites.

Research and write quick facts about each state.

Begin a state poster: Include capital, state bird, nickname, etc.
Work on this over several days.
Internet research on three selected cities for each agency's itinerary.
