Submission Requirements
When planning articles:
- Briefly state the purpose of the proposed article
- Outline the scope of the proposed topic
- Contact the editor to coordinate the timeline for submission
- Commit to a final copy deadline
When writing articles:
- Use the active voice
- Write in short declarative sentences
- Remain gender-neutral or mutually inclusive
- Double-space the manuscript
- Submit a cover page with the title of the article, author's name and professional title, institutional affiliation, contact information, and a brief statement about the author
- Use headings and subheadings
- Conform to designated length (typically 1,500--2,500 words)
- List sources in a bibliography
- Provide pertinent Web site URLs
- Check spelling
When submitting articles:
- Proof and edit articles
- Submit article in RTF (rich text format) or as a Word.doc e-mail attachment
- Save charts, graphs, and tables as separate files in TIF, GIF, BMP, or JPG formats
NETC Circuit editor reserves the right to edit all articles for clarity, succinctness, style, and quality standards. All submissions must be original, not previously published material. The author grants exclusive copyright to NWREL's b>NETC Circuit. The author may incorporate portions of the article into his or her own lectures, presentations, or writings, provided that NWREL receives first publication credit. The publication may be reproduced without permission if the following acknowledgment is included: Developed by the Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory's Northwest Educational Technology Consortium.
